Crane

This is a cast of a Strelitzia plant also know as the crane flower. It is placed inside a porcelain base with primed linen as a background. The linen was used for travel holding graphite between Italy, Switzerland and Singapore. The markings were subtle, but left on the canvas. The graphite was melted down and repurposed to casting this crane flower.
