Photographic Fresco

Silver nitrate sensitized polished plaster on linen. Using archaic techniques this body of work tries to dematerialize the processes of photography, painting, and sculpture. In developing a method in which a photographic image is embedded in plaster it pushes the confines of the historical significance and material qualities of a fresco.
